What the after-sales service DétruiRAT will refuse to cover.

Our traps are designed with the utmost care to provide maximum efficiency and great reliability. However, like any technical equipment, it can happen that a setting, handling, or particular situation leads to a malfunction. If your trap has a manufacturing defect, it will of course be covered by the warranty.

Before you ask too many questions, first follow our various explanations on trap maintenance, as well as on the different faults you may encounter.See the customer service section

BUT, not everything is covered!

  • If your trap is bent, crushed, or damaged, the warranty will not apply.
    You find your trap damaged in the barn and your animals swear they had nothing to do with it. Neither do we!

  • If the power supply of your trap is damaged and causes an electrical short circuit, the warranty will not apply.
    You find the power cable of the trap damaged, your dog and other animals present swear they had nothing to do with it, neither do we!

  • If you leave a rat to decompose in the trap, or other dirt, the warranty will not apply.
    If you find flies around your trap, or maggots, it means your trap has not been properly maintained, we are not responsible!

  • If you do not use original parts and accessories (including the transformer) and your trap breaks down, we are not responsible!

  • If you leave your trap in a puddle or out in the rain, the warranty will not apply.
    Your DétruiRAT trap is an electrical device; you wouldn't leave your hi-fi system plugged in or not in the rain, so don't do it with your trap either!

  • If you find your trap with broken parts, the warranty will not apply.
    Gasper the ghost hit your trap with a machine during the night, admit that it's not our fault!

It's a matter of common sense!

  • Clean your trap, the inside, the collection tray, the electrocution cell, and the infrared sensors. 2 minutes per trap to ensure proper functioning!

  • Never leave a dead rat longer than necessary in the collection tray! Here is the result if you let it decompose:  
    Flies will come directly to lay eggs, maggots will sneak in to escape the elements, and leave behind mucus traces that damage the electronics.

  • Clean the electrocution cell. If it is dirty, the electrocution may not work properly, causing unnecessary suffering to the captured rodent, or even leaving it alive... in this case, it will be trapped (no pun intended) and will try to escape, gaining access to the technical parts of the trap. It will gnaw the wires, and your trap will be out of order...
     

  • If your device is mishandled and you break a part, simply order replacement parts from our SHOP , they will be dispatched to you. Videos on the site mostly explain how to intervene.
       

   A maintained trap remains functional for a long time, and will therefore be more than useful to you!
